My new L3-3

Post by jimmy74 »

I've just received my L3-3 tester. I will post some photos soon... but can I use a normal fuse holder cap and what fuse should I use?

thanks

Here are some photos of the tester. I contacted the seller about the missing fuse and he told me that it has been incorporated in the new power plug. Is there any weird stuff you can see? Anything I need to know or check before turning it on?

I have taken a look at the cards but I don't think there is anything like that card.... they all have tube names in russian on them. Is the universal card obbligatory? I will definitely do the ground connections, it was the fuse that worried me the most. Have you noticed anything strange in the photos?

thanks

at first sight you got the instrument in good condition
not original pens are not a problem and it isn't strange.
all reasonable modifications are described on this site. they are very useful in further maintenance of this device.

this card is MASTER ;) card... here all parameters of holes of a panel for a set are described. it is necessary for check of available cards on a correctness. or when you do the card for testing.

Hi Jimmy
Welcome to the club of L3-3 owners!
Especially first!: do NOT!! connect mains plug N to ground, only use connection PE for that.
Otherwise it’s possible to get 230 V on the chassis (50 % change) with can be lethal!!
For the fuse holder, I see it in place on the pictures??, it is integrated in the voltage selector.
For the universal card (card no. 1) I made a card in English and in colour, so all that belong to anode is in red, all to -Ug1 in green, etc.
